The holiday season is a big time for retailers. So where's the marketing spend going?

A new survey shows that the top marketing trend for the holiday season this year is expected to be video - by a long way. Promo surveyed around 400 business owners and marketers to see where they were planning to spend their marketing dollars as the holiday shopping season takes hold.

The survey shows that video reached a turning point in 2018, with 49.7% of respondents saying they’d started using it within the last year, and a total of 77% now using it in their marketing strategy.

Facebook is the clear winner for social media ad spend, beating all other social channels hands down.
