10 ways to generate traffic without Google and get ready to plan your summer events with our app of the week.

Happy Birthday to Google+! You can head over to our blog to see an infographic about the past three years and what we all have to look forward to in the future of Google+.

Google Play announced yesterday that they had bought Songza, a three-year-old app that makes customized playlists of recommended songs. (Wordtracker favorite)

"Exciting news today — we’re thrilled to welcome +Songza to Google. They’ve built a great service which uses contextual expert-curated playlists to give you the right music at the right time. We aren't planning any immediate changes to Songza, so it will continue to work like usual for existing users. Over the coming months, we’ll explore ways to bring what you love about Songza to Google Play Music. We'll also look for opportunities to bring their great work to the music experience on YouTube and other Google products.

Chuck Price is Founder & President of Measurable SEO posted the informative article on about the "Top 10 ways to generate traffic without Google." So if you're struggling with organic search traffic then follow his simple tips.

“If you don't have the budget to create content and build backlinks better than your competitors, you will not outrank them. If you're a new entry in a crowded niche, it will be a long time, if ever, before you achieve any meaningful SERPs.

Rather than worry about losing or never having Google organic search traffic, plan for it. No one can afford to rely upon a single traffic source for business. You need multiple streams of traffic as insurance against the inevitable changes in search algorithms.”

When it comes down to organising my calendar, I like to keep my private and professional life separate. That’s why our app of the week certainly works for me. CalPal, is a standalone calendar where you'll start to do a lot more with your time.

Available for iPhone users, all you need to do is open it up, create an event, invite the people you want, and use the event's group chat to discuss. Meaning no more setting up annoying Facebook or WhatsApp groups. Everything under the one platform - no one forgets and better yet no one is missing details - so no one double books!

Have a brilliant 4th July!
